I am a yoga teacher, disability advocate, and visual artist based in so-called Vancouver, Canada (unceded, traditional lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations). My work as a trauma-informed and adaptive yoga facilitator centers supporting folks who live with chronic illness, pain, disability, and chronic stress using tools such as therapeutic-style asana, pranayama, and meditation. I am enthusiastic about the importance of resting practices in our self- and community-care. As a queer, disabled, and multiply-chronically ill person, my lived experiences inform my approach to yoga facilitation, wherein I seek to offer a no-pressure environment and to encourage you to show up just as you are on any given day. Your whole self is welcome here!

My background is in hatha-vinyasa yoga rooted in classical Tantrik philosophy, yin & restorative, yoga nidra, chair yoga, yoga for older adults, and trauma-informed yoga. I offer deep reverence and gratitude to my teachers and the many teachers who have come before, and offer particular appreciation to those of South Asian descent from whose cultural and ancestral knowledge & practices I benefit.

I am a faculty member in the Yoga Teacher Training and Yoga Therapy programs at the Vancouver School of Healing Arts, where I lead curricula based on accessibility in yoga, restorative yoga, and teaching methodology. I have lead classes in studios, retirement & long term care communities, healthcare facilities, corporate workplaces, private homes, parks, and more. I now primarily lead classes online, which allows me to continue to do the work I love while living with complex, energy-limiting chronic illness.
